Black Star Contracting is owned and run by Jon Broad a proud Indigenous man from Bundjalung Country.

Jon started carpentry in 2009, so with over 15 years of experience in the industry he has a passion for delivering high quality projects in both jobs in both the city and the bush.

His apprenticeship focused on renovating old and antique homes aged at over 100 years old, as well as multimillion dollar renovation work in Brisbane. As a result of Jons foundational training, he is experienced at delivering high end projects.

Jon is skilled at delivering all types of work including new home projects, community work, station work, end assemblies for gates and fences, sheds and concreting.

Jon is passionate about training others and experienced in supervising building work in both urban and community settings.
